Cattle Country confirmed for consoles and physical release

Back in October last year, we brought you the news that pixel art farming sim Cattle Country was heading to Steam and had a demo for keen cowboys to try. Since this news broke, publisher Playtonic Friends and developer Castle Pixel have confirmed the game will be coming to PlayStation, Switch and Xbox. Furthermore, a demo for each console port will be available from the 30th April 2025. There is no confirmed release date for when cowboys can get their rawhide on, but Cattle Country is expected to be released later in 2025.

Inspired by classic frontier adventures with a touch of wholesome farming fun, this rootin’-tootin’ Cattle Country demo has been refined through community feedback and includes enhanced gameplay, expanded customisation, and exciting new features—with a special appearance from cowboy voice acting legend Roger Clark (Arthur Morgan – Red Dead Redemption 2) as your trusted friend back home. It’s gonna be one heck of a ride!

In more good news coming from out of the ranch, physical collectors can also grab themselves a boot-stompin’ Cattle Country boxed edition for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, with partners Silver Lining Interactive, to add to their cozy collection! Yeehaw!
