We’ve been following the release of Constance, a classic Metroidvania from developer Blue BackPack and co-publishers ByteRockers Games and PARCO GAMES. The game is already out on Switch and Steam, but will be heading to Switch 2 with a host of improvements. Players who own the game on Nintendo Switch will receive an upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 version for free.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Constance will feature an improved performance mode running up to 120 FPS, an improved quality mode running at 1440p resolution, new and improved audio, and integrated achievements.
Constance has been hailed as among the best in the genre and has won comparisons to the likes of Hollow Knight and Celeste. Players can transform into paint to dive into the ground and walls, slice through the air and enemies, and utilize an array of unique brush techniques to experience a constant state of flow.
Players will also become stronger by unlocking new brush techniques, defeating threatening foes, overcoming platforming challenges, and solving complex puzzles to advance their progress as they uncover Constance’s past!
