Crazy Taxi fans were treated to a first look at Crazy Taxi: World Tour’s multiplayer mode with an exciting trailer unveiled at last night’s Gamescom Opening Night Live. The trailer was also a reminder that there isn’t much time to sign up for Sega’s beta testing of the game, with applicants needing to register before August 31st. In the newly revealed multiplayer modes, the city becomes a shared playground where rival drivers compete for passengers, battle for dominance of the streets, discover new shortcuts, and create unforgettable moments of multiplayer Crazy Taxi chaos.
The trailer also confirms the return of fan favorites Gena, B.D. Joe, and Gus, who are ready to tear through the city and compete for fares when the game arrives in 2027. The new trailer is set to Bad Religion’s “Ten in 2010,” which is one of several iconic hits from the original game that are returning for Crazy Taxi: World Tour’s soundtrack. Other returning songs include “All I Want” and “Change the World” by The Offspring, and “Them and Us” and “Inner Logic” by Bad Religion. Crazy Taxi: World Tour is set to release in 2027 on XBOX Series X|S, XBOX on PC, Steam, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2, and is an XBOX Play Anywhere title.
