Crime City Joins Arcade Archives: Coming To Nintendo Switch And PS4

Taito’s classic arcade game Crime City is set to make its way to modern consoles, specifically the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. Originally released in 1989, Crime City is a run-and-gun game where players take on the roles of police officers Tony Gibson and Raymond Broady. The objective is to track down and apprehend various gang leaders across six action-packed stages, each featuring different settings such as city docks, motorways, and office buildings equipped with laser turrets.

The game is being released as part of the Arcade Archives series, which aims to bring classic arcade titles to contemporary platforms. This release will be available on the Nintendo Switch eShop and PlayStation Store starting September 19th in Japan, with expectations for a subsequent release in Western markets. The Arcade Archives series often includes enhancements such as improved graphics and additional features to suit modern gaming systems while preserving the original gameplay experience.

I'm Mubarak AlSabah, born in '87, and I'm a big fan of retro games. I’ve been gaming since '93, so it's been a lifelong passion for me. Collecting retro games is my favorite hobby, and I have a great collection that takes you back in time. In addition to gaming, I also have 830+ premium domain names, which is another hobby that I love just as much. I started collecting domains in '97, combining my interest in the digital world with my love for nostalgic gaming.
