Pixel Art Precision Platformer Cryorise New Demo Out Now

Cryorise is a new “precision 2D platformer where every jump, dash, and throw matters”, according to developer Maria Games. The game is due to release on Steam at a date yet to be revealed, but a demo is available for those who wish to try before they buy. The Cryorise demo offers an early look at the game’s evolving mechanics and carefully crafted challenges ahead of its full release.

In a press statement, Maria Games said. “Developer Maria Games and publisher indie.io today released the Cryorise demo on Steam, giving players their first opportunity to experience the game’s precise platforming challenges and tranquil pixel-art world.”

Cryorise is a precision 2D platformer where every jump, dash, and throw matters. Players navigate carefully designed levels that blend tight platforming with movement-based puzzle mechanics such as teleports and throwable tools. Each stage introduces new systems and challenges, encouraging experimentation and mastery as players discover the sequence of moves needed to progress.

Despite its demanding gameplay, Cryorise maintains a calm and inviting atmosphere. Minimalist pixel-art environments and a soothing soundtrack create a space where players are encouraged to learn from each attempt and keep pushing forward. You can see from the trailer that there are a few interesting mechanics, and we’ll look forward to trying the demo for ourselves.
