We’ve been following the release of Darkenstein 3D, a free-to-play retro shooter from developer Rowye and publisher Microprose. The game has been receiving lots of praise from FPS enthusiasts, and the fact that it’s free, as well as having new content being dropped, makes it a no-brainer for boomer shooter fans to try.
A new DLC pack, titled Total Trampage, is now available to download for Darkenstein 3D, and it has more maps, more guns, and just another dollop of booming goodness. And all for free. The Hobo Guy may have rescued Gunther, but he is not finished wrecking the place. Familiar locations return with reworked layouts, new encounters, and additional secrets, while Endless Mode challenges players to survive relentless waves across 11 purpose-built maps.
Key features in Darkenstein 3D: Total Trampage:
Five remixed campaign levels: Return to familiar ground featuring reworked layouts, new encounters, and new secrets.
Eleven endless maps: Keep moving, keep shooting, and survive against waves of enemies that never stop.
New weapons and enemies: Discover more tools for turning rooms into wreckage, along with fresh threats ready to return fire.
Challenge modifiers: Change the rules and make each run even more unpredictable.
New Game+: Take everything you earned back into the campaign for another, tougher run.
Jukebox and new music: Choose the soundtrack to accompany the slaughter.
New achievements: Fresh proof that you did the stupid thing on purpose.
