Doom set to Descend onto Evercade This Year

Doom x Evercade

Doom will be blasting its way onto Evercade consoles later this year, as teased by Blaze Entertainment.

Well, if Doom can run on devices as diverse as calculators, digital cameras, toasters, and refrigerators, it should be no surprise that Doom will be coming to an actual console that has been designed specifically for playing retro games: namely, the Evercade.

We’re sure that everyone reading this site is well aware of Doom, id Software‘s seminal first-person shooter, which was first released for MS-DOS on  PC  way back in 1993.

Details are scant regarding Doom’s release on Evercade, but we do know that it will be released this year, as part of Doom developer id Software’s 35th anniversary celebrations.

We do not yet know which version(s) of Doom will be released on Evercade, but the PlayStation version is a likely candidate, as previous Evercade releases, such as the Tomb Raider Collections, on which we previously reported, have proven that the format is more than capable of PlayStation emulation.

Doom is the third Evercade release to be announced for 2026, so far, following The Turrican Collection and Taito Arcade 3, which are both due to be released later this month, on February 27, 2026, as we have previously reported.
