We’ve been following the progress of Dracula: Dark Reign, a new adventure game for the GBC from developer Spacebot Interactive and publisher Incube8 Games. The Castlevania-style title is officially licensed by StokerVerse, the company that holds the rights to Dracula. StokerVerse is headed up by Dacre Stoker, the great-grand nephew of Bram Stoker, and comic book writer Chris McAuley.
Dracula: Dark Reign has been in development for almost three years, and we were lucky to give the preview a try in April 2025. We were certainly impressed and are glad to report that the pre-orders for the game are now open on Incube8 Games’ website. The most notable feature of Dracula: Dark Reign is the inclusion of a prologue that draws from Bram Stoker’s personal notes, introducing elements that have never before been witnessed in any form of media.
In a press statement, the publisher said. “Dracula: Dark Reign is the first-ever Stoker family-authorized Dracula video game! We had the chance to bring to you this unique Castlevania-style game. To ensure the success of this project, we have commissioned Spacebot Interactive to deliver this masterpiece. They are well known for their previous game, Dragonyhm, which we had the opportunity to publish.”
