The In the Dark Collection is a new twin-pack of homebrew Game Boy titles that brings both of the ‘In the Dark’ Game Boy homebrew titles to the Nintendo Switch.
The collection bundles together both In the Dark and In the Dark 2 into one package. The games are a duo of retro-inspired sci-fi themed puzzlers that were developed by Pearacidic Games, who previously released them as individual titles for the Game Boy.
And now, publisher Caracal Games has bunded both of the Game Boy In the Dark titles together as a single release for the Nintendo Switch, as part of its ‘GB Archive initiative,’ which is, in the words of Caracle Games,”focused on the technical preservation and distribution of homebrew games.”
Developers who would like Caracal Games to consider their homebrew Game Boy games for their GB Archive Initiative can contact the publisher via its website.
The In the Dark Collection was released on Nintendo Switch on July 23, 2026, priced at $4.99 USD or local equivalent.
There’s certainly no shortage of homebrew titles for the Game Boy and Game Boy Color out there.
