Everything New Announced at Evercade Showcase 4

Evercade Showcase 4 Evercade Alpha Taito Edition

Evercade Showcase 4  (on which we previously reported) streamed yesterday, and it brought a whole load of Evercade announcements, including a couple that were leaked a bit early by Amazon.ca, as we previously reported.

The headline announcement, as leaked by Amazon, is a new model of the Evercade Alpha bartop arcade: the Taito Edition. The full line-up of on-board games has not yet been announced, but it will include the Taito classics Bubble Bobble, Space Invaders, Rastan, The New Zealand Story, Elevator Action, and Puzzle Bobble.

As per previous Evercade Alpha models, he machine will be compatible with all Evercade cartridges, and in addition to its on-board games, and it will also offer swappable marquees. It will be released in November 2025, with pre-orders opening today (May 30th), and it will be offered at the special pre-order price of $259.99/£199.99/€229.99.

In addition to the new Evercade Alpha Taito Edition, Blaze Entertainment also promised additional stock of the Evercade Alpha Mega Man and Street Fighter Editions for later in the year.

The Evercade VS-R home console and Evercade EXP-R handheld hardware will also be available in new Solo configurations, without bundled cartridges.

The Evercade VS-R Neo Geo Edition listed on Amazon.ca was conspicuous by its absence, and the listing has now disappeared from Amazon.

As for cartridges, it was confirmed that pre-orders for the previously announced Neo Geo Arcade1 will open today (May 30), prior to an August release.

Also announced were Neo Geo Arcade 2, and Neo Geo Arcade 3.

Neo Geo Arcade 2 will feature the games Garou: Mark of the Wolves, Art of Fighting 2, Metal Slug 2, Crossed Swords, Ninja Commando, and Sengoku 2.

Meanwhile, Neo Geo Arcade 3 will include King of Fighters ’97, Samurai Shodown, Metal Slug 3, Ghost Pilots, Super Sidekicks, and Twinkle Star Sprites. Pre-orders for the second two Neo Geo collections will open on August 29, prior to release in October.

The Amiga Indie game Roguecraft is getting an enhanced release on Evercade in the form of Roguecraft DX, with pre-orders opening today, prior to an August release. The game is only the second title to receive a solo Evercade cartridge release.

The final two cartridge announcements made at Evercade Showcase 4  were further team-ups with Taito, namely Taito Arcade 1, and Taito Arcade 2, which will each include nine Taito arcade titles. Taito Arcade 1 will include Space Invaders, Bubble Bobble, Don Doko Don, Growl, The Legend of Kage, ad more.
