Fan Translation of GCN Dr. Mario Released

A GameCube version of Nintendo’s popular pill-popping falling block puzzle game Dr. Mario was released for the Nintendo GameCube in 2003 as part of a compilation titled Nintendo Puzzle Collection. However, the collection was never released outside of Japan, and therefore the GameCube version of Dr. Mario was only ever released in the Japanese language. But if you’d like to play the GameCube version of Dr. Mario in English, then we have just what the doctor ordered! An enterprising ROM hacker by the name of Trivoxel has released an English language patch for that very Dr. Mario GameCube game that saw a Japan-only release as part of the aforementioned Nintendo Puzzle Collection. To play the game, you will require a ROM of the GameCube title Nintendo Puzzle Collection, and you can find the game’s English language patch at this link.

Dr. Mario was originally released back in 1990 on the Nintendo Game Boy and NES, as well as on Nintendo’s VS arcade system, with versions of the game also receiving releases for the Super Famicom, Nintendo 64, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DSi, Nintendo 3DS, and, unusually for Nintendo, also on iOS and Android. The GameCube version that this patch has been released for is based on the Nintendo 64 game Dr. Mario 64.
