Finding Teddy II: Definitive Edition is a retro-styled side-scrolling adventure title from developer Storybird and publisher PixelHeart. Although the game came out for the Switch and Wii U in 2020, the physical version sold out quickly and became sought after by collectors who missed out. Now, PixelHeart has confirmed that a new print run of the Japanese box art version is again available in a limited quantity.
In the game, players control a little girl who has lost her teddy and is on a quest to escape a devilish nightmare. They will need to find upgrades for their equipment and face the forces of the evil magician Anguis. All the usual retro-style levels are present from frozen peaks to lush forests as well as platforming sections mixed in with all the action needed for a classic. It was the sequel to the first game, simply Finding Teddy, that was released for the Dreamcast in 2019.
Limited to 1500 copies, with about 100 left at the time of going to press, the game will also include a certificate of authenticity. The reprints of Finding Teddy II: Definitive Edition and the Dreamcast original are available on PixelHeart’s website.
