Flesh Made Fear is an upcoming retro-inspired survival horror title from developer Tainted Pact, known for its previous titles Massacre at the Mirage, Suffer the Night, and Terror at Oakheart. The game will be published by Assemble Entertainment and released on Steam on the 31st of October 2025. Those wanting an early scare can try the demo available now as part of Steam Next Fest.
According to the developers, Flesh Made Fear has been inspired by PlayStation horror classics and pays homage to the original Resident Evil trilogy. It will feature classic tank controls and fixed cameras as well as limited inventory storage. Although the game is designed around classic gameplay tropes, there will be modern ideas to help bring a fresh experience for horror fans.
Players take control of an elite operative from the Reaper Intervention Platoon (R.I.P.) and infiltrate a backwater town under siege by a deranged former CIA agent called Victor “The Dripper” Ripper. They will also descend into a world of horrifying experiments and occult rituals where every step plunges them deeper into madness. Featuring the survival mechanics that define the genre, reimagined with heart-stopping innovations, this game invites horror fans to confront their fears like never before.
