‘90s-inspired Freefall ’95 set to Fall onto Steam

Freefall ’95 is a ‘90s-inspired arcade-style title that’s due to be released on Steam in March this year.

The game is the first title to be developed by the Melbourne-based indie developer S-Bend Games, who describe Freefall ’95 as, “a ‘90s-inspired, fast-falling, adrenaline-inducing experience filled with radical combo-creating action.”

The aim of Freefall ’95 is to combine sick tricks, attempt deadly stunts, and collect items to build up huge brain-tickling scores, all as you’re falling from a plane. In the game, the player will have to dodge various airborne hazards such as broken aircraft parts and flaming debris, as each hit deals damage, causing the player to wake back up on the plane, stuck in a twisted time loop, and do it all again. Inspired by classic arcade extreme sports games of the ‘90s.

Features of Freefall ’95 are: five varied levels, each with unique special items, landing locations and hazards to look out for; a combo system that allows for massive scores; an arcade-like leaderboard with friends-only and worldwide options; a rich, time-bending narrative; more than10 ability items and traits that allow the player to explore and experience levels in wild new ways; arcade themed challenges and side quests to help your fellow passengers, including capture the ring, maximum combo challenges, and more.

A demo of Freefall ’95 will launch on Steam on January 29th, 2026, prior to the game’s release in March.
