Game Boy Camera Manager

Good news if you still have a Game Boy Camera, an enterprising Game Boy homebrew developer by the name of Marc Max has developed a Game Boy Camera Manager to help you make the most of Nintendo’s handheld’s peripheral.

On his X feed, Max describes his Game Boy Camera Manager as “the Swiss Army knife of Game Boy Camera management.”

The Game Boy Camera Manager offers functions such as exporting and importing pictures, editing metadata, and adding custom printable frames to the ROM.

The Game Boy Camera add-on was one of the more unusual peripherals released for Nintendo’s handheld, released by Nintendo back in 1998, alongside the Game Boy Printer, which was a thermal printer that could print images taken by the Game Boy Camera.

Although these days, we all walk around with a digital camera in our pocket on our phones, digital camera were a new concept back in 1998, with the Game Boy Camera being one of the first digital cameras to hit the market!

The Game Boy Camera Manager can be accessed online via the web, and to get started with the Game Boy Camera Manager, you simply need to upload either a valid Game Boy Camera SRAM savegame or ROM to the Game Boy Camera Manager site.
