The worn state of my copy of Playstation 2 & Playstation Encyclopedia guide reflects its frequent use as a reference for titles on the console. Originally published alongside the PlayStation 2 release, the guide provides evaluations for PlayStation 2 games as well as a comprehensive collection of GamePro’s critiques for PlayStation 1 titles. While not exhaustive, it has been an essential tool for expanding my PlayStation 1 library, despite occasional disagreements with the Fun Factor ratings for certain games. My annotated copy records my desire for specific games and purchases made, highlighting its importance to me. For PlayStation 1 enthusiasts and collectors, this guidebook is highly recommended as both an enjoyable read and a valuable resource. Though acquiring a copy may be challenging, it can be found on online marketplaces like eBay and Amazon, making it a worthwhile investment for those interested in the console’s games.
