Gherbert Groundhog in Save the Date has been released as the June Evercade Game of the Month, replacing last month’s title, which, as we reported at the time, was Inspector Waffles – Early Days.
This month’s title, Gherbert Groundhog in Save the Date is a platform game by PuttyCAD (AKA Ric Lumb) that was originally released for the ZX Spectrum.
The ZX Spectrum hasn’t been particularly well represented on the Evercade so far, so Gherbert Groundhog in Save the Date is a welcome addition to the catalog, though the previous release of The Llamasoft Collection did include some ZX Spectrum titles on it, as we reported previously.
As usual, owners of Evercade VS, Evercade EXP, and Evercade Alpha devices can access the Evercade Game of the Month simply by updating their system software, and it will remain playable until the system software is updated again.
As with all of the other Evercade Game of the Month titles for 2026, Gherbert Groundhog in Save the Date will be included on next year’s Indie Heroes 5 Evercade cartridge.
