Gone Feral is a new 80s horror movie-inspired title from developer Just Purkey Games. It’s currently looking to recruit playtesters via the Steam page before the full game is set for release. The developer has described Gone Feral as an “analog slasher” where you can “stalk your victims alone or with friends, use stealth and disguises, and turn everyday objects into weapons”. The game was first shown at the recent PC Gaming Show and will feature a co-op mode on release. The playtest, currently running until October 31st, 2026, will focus on Gone Feral’s single-player assassination fun.
The game’s story seems quite cryptic, as you would expect given the influences. In a press statement, the developer said. “They left you for dead. They buried the truth. Now you’re back for revenge as an 80s horror villain.” What they mean is anyone’s guess, but safe to say that ‘they’ probably aren’t inviting us round for tea and cakes.
