I, Robot is an arcade shooting game developed by retro legend Jeff Minter and released in April 2025. The game is a reimaging of Atari’s 1984 arcade cabinet and is now getting a new limited physical release on PlayStation 5 courtesy of Strictly Limited, which has already sold half of the 1,000 individually serialized units of I, Robot. Fans of Minter’s work will want to act quickly to avoid missing out on this unique opportunity.
In a press statement, the publisher said. “Strictly Limited is proud to announce a new publishing partnership with Atari, one of the most influential pioneers in video game history. This collaboration unites Atari’s legacy of genre-defining classics with Strictly Limited’s expertise in premium physical releases for modern platforms, driven by a shared commitment to preserving gaming heritage for future generations.”
“We’re excited to partner with Atari; their games are iconic for players all over the world and often tied to great memories,” said Helmut Schmitz, CEO of United Games, Strictly Limited Games‘ parent company. “Our goal is to make sure these physical editions capture that sense of nostalgia while also creating something that new generations of players can discover and hold on to.”
