Ignitement is a new isometric 2D roguelite that developer Sørb has described as a “horde survivor” due to be released later in 2026. While there is no further news on a specific release date, a new demo for Ignitement will be released on May 28th, and a new teaser trailer gives us some idea of what the game will offer. Ignitement certainly seems to be inspired by some of the isomeric greats of the 90s, such as Diablo, but also has plenty of modern twists added in.
In the game, players will harness full fire-wielding capabilities in top-down combat with a specialized 2D fluid simulation system. They’ll defeat hordes of their innermost demons with fire magic, gather coins, and unlock special upgrades to reveal their full hidden power as a true fire shaman. There will also be end-of-level boss battles and a host of different enemies to encounter.
Key features:
Stunning Visuals using a custom-made 2D fluid simulation system that adds weight and impact to every attack and motion.
20-minute runs complete with climactic boss battles, emitting manifestations of your darkest fears.
Collect Ancient masks, each granting you new starting powers and fresh dialogue experiences throughout your runs.
Spend soul coins to continually unlock new skills, curses, and masks.
