Indie Heroes 4 for Evercade Confirmed for Next Month

Indie Heroes 4 has been teased by Evercade owners Blaze Entertainment for the last few months, and now they have confirmed that it will be released in February 2025.

This year’s Indie Heroes cartridge will compile 2024’s Evercade Game of the Month titles, along with two other games, adding up to 11 games in total, which are mostly homebrew titles developed for retro consoles, with the exception of Murtop, which has been developed natively for Evercade.

Among the included Evercade Game of the Month titles will be two games that we’ve previously covered here on Retro News, namely Batty Zabella (Game Boy version) and the aforementioned native Evercade version of  Murtop.

The other games included on the Indie Heroes 4 cartridge are: Block ‘Em Sock ‘Em (Genesis version), Jane Austen’s 8-bit Adventure (NES version), Flea! 2 (NES version), Starseed (8-bit version), The Curse of Illmoore Bay (Genesis version), Nyghtmare: The Ninth King (Game Boy Color version), Collie Defense (Game Boy Advance version), Soko Banana (NES version), and Block Droppin’ (Game Boy Color version).

Blaze Entertainment have recently raised the prices of Evercade cartridges (including existing stock), so Indie Heroes 4 will retail for £19.99 (UK)/$24.99 (US)/€24.99 (Europe).

You can find out more about the games on Indie Heroes 4 on the official Evercade website.

And although I keep up with modern gaming, we all know you can't beat retro classics (or maybe I'm just old!)
