The plot revolves around a group of retro gaming enthusiasts who must use their vintage tech to combat a sophisticated AI that has gone rogue, leading to a global technological meltdown. The film is co-written by Bradbury and comedian Mark Felgate, with Elizabeth Blake Thomas directing. The soundtrack will be curated by the iconic ’90s dance act Utah Saints.
The film project will be launched on Kickstarter, where backers can receive perks such as merchandise, roles in the movie, and their names on an exclusive arcade machine high scores screen. The creators are reaching out to fans of 80s and 90s cinema, retro gaming, and underdog stories to support the project.
