Jett Rider mini–H.E.R.O. is a new homebrew game in development for the original Game Boy and Steam.

The game’s developer, Last Chicken Games, says of the game that it is: “a compact, classic Game Boy-style adventure set in the Jett Rider universe. Explore ancient caves, break through stone walls, use bombs and tools, rescue Gravonites, and collect gravitonium as you navigate collapsing tunnels and hidden dangers. A small mission. A big heart. A true handheld hero.”

The developer goes on to list the features of the game as: “classic Game Boy-style retro adventure for your Game Boy. Rescue Gravonites and collect gravitonium. Use bombs, batteries, and tools to survive dangerous caves. Break walls, uncover secrets, and explore hidden paths.”

Last Chicken Games’ first game in the Jett Rider series was an arcade shooter with RPG elements that was released on Steam by publisher Jandu Soft back in 2024, where it has garnered 91% positive reviews, and this new Jett Rider game is set for release on both Steam and Game Boy in Q2 of this year.

Developer Last Chicken Games and publisher Jandu Soft plan to run a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to produce the game, and you can register to be notified on the campaign’s launch on Kickstarter now.
