Kero Kero Cowboy Rides on into Steam

We previously reported on the release of a new homebrew Game Boy Color platform game by the name of Kero Kero Cowboy, in which you play a cute froggy cowboy.

Now, following the game’s release on GameBoy Color, Kero Kero Cowboy’s developer, who goes by the name of MetaGame Mike, has taken to X to announce that his game will soon be coming to Steam. While a release date is yet to be announced, the Steam page is live now, where you can wishlist the game and download a free demo right now.

In Kero Kero Cowboy you’ll find “perilous platforming challenges, and intense shootouts across deserts, mines, mountains, trains, forests, and beyond!”

Kero Kero Cowboy’s Steam page also describes the game as follows: “Kero Kero Cowboy is a cartoony western themed platformer developed for the Game Boy Color! Use your extendable tongue, trusty six-shooter, and wits to conquer the wildest outlaws of the west. Yeehaw!” Yeehaw, indeed! It certainly sounds like a lot of fun, and if you’re a fan of retro-style 2D platformers, as we are here at Retro News, it could be well worth moseying on down to the Steam Store to wishlist the game and try out the demo, pardners!
