Pixel Art Roguelike Little Prince Tyger Announced For PC Next Year

Little Prince Tyger is a new pixel art action roguelike from developer Saltitude Games and publisher Team17. It is due to be released on Steam in 2027, but the trailer gives us a good idea of the gameplay. The developer has said that Little Prince Tyger “is a stylised, low-resolution adventure that combines precise, physics-driven combat and fluid simulation, with strategic action gameplay”.

Armed with a simple bow and arrow and tasked by the Queen with finding her lost son, Prince Galaad, the 2D pixelated hero’s adventure builds on action-roguelike gameplay. Each run combines fast-paced combat and a wide variety of perks that change the game, from adjusting stats to manipulating fluids, slowing down time, and even gaining the ability to access additional weapons, ensuring successive loops continue the journey to victory.

Through memories, players will meet a wonderful cast of characters who, amidst the dark and unforgiving world, try to find their own place. These include Sauterelle, the brave kamanaï warrior with whom to have a good time and share a meal; Machiavelli, keeper of the kitchen garden and who has a secret past; and Dagaubert, king of the world with a big heart, and more!

Key features:

Bite-sized challenges: Master intense archery combat across 1000+ handcrafted one-screen levels.

Tiny player, big physics: Use surgical precision, environmental manipulation, and the immutable laws of physics to overcome your foes.

Fast-paced action: Features an ever-changing roguelike loop full of growth opportunities.

Become the Little Prince Tyger: Take up the honourable mantle of hunter, and do not question it.
