Magical Vacation Casts its Spell on Nintendo Switch Online in Japan Only

Magical Vacation is the latest addition to the Game Boy Advance Nintendo Classics catalog on Switch Online, but it’s only available in Japan. This week’s addition to Nintendo Classics in other territories was the Nintendo 64 title Forsaken 64, on which we previously reported.

We guess that Forsaken 64 mustn’t be to Japanese tastes, but we’d certainly like to see Magical Vacation get added to Nintendo Switch Online’s Nintendo Classics outside of Japan, too!

Magical Vacation is a Game Boy Advance RPG from 2001 that was developed by the studio Brownie Brown Inc., which was comprised of ex-members of Square, who had previously worked on the Mana series, so they certainly had considerable pedigree when it comes to developing RPGs!

Brownie Brown Inc. later changed their name to 1-Up studio, and they recently worked on the Nintendo Switch 2 title Donkey Kong Bananza, having previously worked on hugely successful Nintendo Switch titles such as Super Mario Odyssey and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

The game has never received a release outside of Japan, despite being developed by a studio with such an impressive track record, so after 24 years, isn’t it time you rectified that, Nintendo? For now, we’ll just keep wishing to see Magical Vacation make an enchanted visit outside of Japan.
