Mago is a 2022 pixel art platformer from Dream Potion Games, which was originally released on Steam. Now, the highly praised retro game is being ported to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and Nintendo Switch in Q4 2026. Not only will the game reach new audiences, but retro collectors will also have the opportunity to purchase it physically on PlayStation and Switch, with pre-orders now open at several retailers.
The game will also receive an update titled Mago: Hyperdelicious Edition, featuring beautiful pixel art, original mechanics, and charismatic characters. Players will embark on a thrilling journey as they run, jump, and wield their trusty wand to make their way through 8 vibrant and diverse worlds. Each world boasts its own distinct theme, mechanics, challenging bosses, hidden secrets, and surprisingly original mini-games.
Publisher Selecta Play has opened pre-orders for the Mago: Hyperdelicious Edition physical editions in two editions: standard and Gourmet Box for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. The upcoming physical edition is scheduled to launch by November 30, 2026, with a standard edition at a price of $39.99 and a collector’s edition at a price of $69.99. The collectors’ edition features the physical game, diorama, postcards, 66-page collector’s manual, and a collector’s box.
