The ‘Mana’ Series Comes to GOG for the Very First Time

In a post on its X account, GOG has announced that the Mana series of JRPGs is now available DRM-free for PC from the GOG store.

The two Mana games now available DRM-free on GOG are 1995’s Trials of Mana, which was originally released by Square in Japan on the Super Famicom, and 1999’s Legend of Mana, which was originally released by Square on PlayStation.

What’s more, the games are currently available at a discount, with 70% off Trials of Mana and 60% off Legend of Mana for a limited time only, with the launch discounts only available until 10:00 EST on June 8, 2026.

The Mana series began with a 1991 Game Boy game that was titled Final Fantasy Adventure in North America, and that was titled Mystic Quest in Europe, and as Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden in Japan.

The most recent release in the Mana series to date is 2024’s Visions of Mama, which was released by Square Enix for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Other games of interest to RetroNews readers that are currently available on GOG on which we have reported previously include the pixel Art roguelike 9 Kings, the PC version of Bubsy 4D, and the retro-inspired The Prisoning: Fletcher’s Quest.
