We have been following the release of The Prisoning: Fletcher’s Quest closely, and we also gave our views on the first few hours of gameplay in our recent impressions post. The game has been developed by Swedish team Elden Pixels, the same team behind celebrated indie titles Alwa’s Legacy and A Void Hope, with Acclaim heading up the publishing. Since then, the retro-inspired Metroicvania has been released to GOG, alongside the Steam and Switch releases.
To celebrate the game’s launch on GOG.com, Acclaim has released a launch trailer showcasing Fletcher’s surreal journey through the recesses of his strained psyche. Those who had been waiting for a release on GOG should get in early, as The Prisoning: Flectsher’s Quest currently has a 20% discount running. After this time, the game will revert to its standard price of $14.99.
“Players have been asking us for Acclaim titles on GOG, so we’re incredibly excited that The Prisoning: Fletcher’s Quest is the first step in what we believe will be a fantastic partnership with GOG,” said Marc Anthony Rodriguez, Director of Publishing and Strategic Partnerships at Acclaim. “Elden Pixels created something genuinely unique with Fletcher’s Quest, and we can’t wait for a whole new wave of players to dive headfirst into the madness, mayhem, and surreal humor that makes this game so fun & memorable.”
