Midnight Souls is a new retro-inspired adventure from solo developer Bolshakov Sergey and publisher Spaghetti Cat, announced for Steam with a new trailer showing off its great pixel art. It certainly has some large sprites to enjoy and some intriguing gameplay to get stuck into.
In a press statement, the publisher said. “Publisher Spaghetti Cat is thrilled to announce the new game Midnight Souls, a 2D mystical adventure, where players will immerse themselves in the eerie atmosphere of the provincial town of Camomile Peaks, brimming with secrets, dangers, and unexpected twists.”
Players will take on the role of a teenager traveling to a strange city for a date with a girl he met online. But what begins as a romantic adventure soon threatens to turn into a dark mystery. They’ll face deadly puzzles, dangerous misadventures, and a variety of mini‑games. To win his first love, the protagonist must overcome fear and insecurity, make new friends, and take care of his cat, Charlie.
