We last reported on new Modretro game releases in November last year when two new Chromatic GBC titles were announced. We now have two more games to report on, as well as a new piece of hardware to improve the experience of Modretro’s GBC handheld.
In Pineapple Kid, the first game to be announced, players are the bravest pineapple since the first to set foot on a pizza. And they must navigate tricky levels, outsmart enemies, and collect keys to unlock their path to victory in this challenging, highly replayable quest.
The second new game, Fall From Space, sees players awake on a strange planet with no memory. They begin a journey for answers, and the choices they make shape the course of history. Fall From Space is an epic open-world, non-linear Action RPG, filled with multiple worlds, side quests, encounters, secrets, and upgrades.
The final announcement is a restock of a rechargeable battery pack for the Chromatic. The new design has a convenient dock to make charging easier and boasts up to 16 hours of gameplay. It recharges in about two hours and has an “easy snap-in” design requiring no tools. It is compatible with all Chromatic models.
In a press statement, Modretro said. “The long-awaited Rechargeable Power Core is back, and now comes with its own dock for fast, drop-in charging. Replace the batteries in your Chromatic to power it longer without using AAs.”
