New Evercade products are set to be announced during the Evercade Showcase 4 stream today, on which we previously reported, but it appears that Amazon.ca have jumped the gun a little, offering as yet unannounced Evercade products for pre-order!
Still live at the time of writing is a page for the Evercade Alpha Taito bartop arcade, which appears to have a rather cool Bubble Bobble marquee, and which will apparently offer 10 on-board games, including the aforementioned Bubble Bobble and Space Invaders amongst them. Other features listed by Amazon include competition-grade arcade controls, two USB Controller ports for local multiplayer, an eight inch high-Resolution IPS Screen, and a light-up marquee bar with swappable marquees (three included). The price for the Evercade Alpha Taito is listed as 349.99 (Canadian).
Also listed and still live at the time of writing is a new Evercade VS-R model, the Evercade VS-R NeoGeo Edition, priced at $169.99 (Canadian).
A new Evercade cartridge, Roguecraft DX, was also briefly listed by Amazon, but this has now been taken down.
This isn’t the first time that Evercade products have been leaked prior to their official announcement. We previously reported on the leaking of the Metal Dragon & Life on Mars cartridge prior to its announcement.
It seems highly likely that these two new Evercade hardware models and the new cartridge will be among the announcements in today’s Evercade Showcase 4 stream, which will be streaming on the official Evercade YouTube channel from 3pm EST, 12pm PST, 8pm BST, and 9pm CET.
