Ninja Gaiden: Rebound is a forthcoming installment in the long-running Ninja Gaiden series.
Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound could be of particular interest to retro gamers because it marks a return to the series’ side-scrolling 2D roots, being described as “a bold mix of the 8-bit and modern trilogies.”
We previously reported on the digital release date of Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, and now physical games publisher Silver Lining Interactive has joined forces with Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound’s digital publisher Dotemu and developer The Game Kitchen to announce that physical versions of Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound will be stealthily hacking their way onto PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, set to be released on September 12th, 2025.
There are two different versions of the physical edition of Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound to choose from on each platform: the Standard Edition includes the game, the soundtrack, and a retro booklet.
Meanwhile, the Special Edition includes all of the above, as well as a cloth map, four metal pins, a double-Sided medallion, a pixel stage standee, and a double-sided poster, all encased in a premium collector’s box.
The Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound physical editions are available to pre-order now, direct from the game’s publishers, Silver Lining Interactive, or from local retail stores throughout North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and regions in the Middle East.
While recent entries in the Ninja Gaiden series have been 3D games, Ninja Gaiden began as a 2D arcade beat’em-up back in 1988, and Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound marks a return to the series’ 2D roots.
