Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound Throws Release Date At Retro Fans

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is a new entry into a classic series being developed by Dotemu, who have done a wonderful job over the last few years bringing back classics such as Streets of Rage and the Turtles beat ‘em-ups. While the series has been mostly 3D for the last few games, Ragebound is a 2D sidescrolling action title that will feel more familiar to the original Ninja Gaiden games we all loved in the past.

The game was announced recently, but now we know the release date, the 31st of July 2025, and that it will be coming to Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC digitally. Although there is no news of a physical release as of yet, like the other Dotemu retro titles, we’re sure there will be one sooner rather than later.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound will feature two different ninjas, each with their own distinct move set to create a new spin on the traditional Ninja Gaiden format. The ninjas aren’t working together either, as they battle in two different storylines to succeed in their mission. This is another exciting announcement for retro ninja fans, as we also have Sega’s Shinobi: Art of Vengeance to look forward to when that releases in August 2025.
