Classic RTS Remaster Outlive 25 New Demo Launched

Outlive 25 is a remaster of the 2000 real-time strategy title from developer Continuum Entertainment and publisher CriticalLeap, due for release on Steam later in 2025. A new demo to coincide with Steam Next Fest has just launched a demo of their classic RTS remaster Outlive 25. This remaster of the classic game has been rebuilt by the original developers for an all-new era. Outlive 25’s demo will remain available until October 20th, 2025.

Just as Outlive 25 is a remaster of Outlive, its demo is a remake of the original game’s demo from 2000, featuring a standalone campaign that serves as a prologue to the events of the three main campaigns, as well as a tutorial to familiarize new players with the genre. Feedback gathered here will be used to enhance the final version, just as it was 25 years ago.

The full game will let players choose between two factions, Humans and Robots, as they decide the fate of Earth across three epic story campaigns. Set in a future where machines have risen to wage war against their creators and the world is suffering a scarcity of natural resources, you must pick a side and make your play for world domination. Customize your units’ AI, allowing you to focus on base building, exploring the terrain, or launching crushing attacks against your enemies.

Outlive 25 brings back the beloved 16-player multiplayer mode and a fully rebuilt Campaign Editor, allowing players to create and share their own maps, missions, or even full campaigns. They can also use custom event scripting to generate controlled actions and iconic moments, and design their own game modes where the only limit is players’ creativity and imagination.
