Paper Mario: Star Nova is a fan hack for the original Nintendo 64 version of Paper Mario, that has been created by a modder named NicTube, and he promises the following additions to the original Paper Mario: multiple new chapters; an entirely new story; a brand new world; new Characters; new partners; new enemies and bosses; 70+ new Star Pieces; and more.
Paper Mario Star Nova requires an original Nintendo 64 Paper Mario ROM to run, but you can find the Paper Mario: Star Nova mod itself at NicTube’s itch.io page.
The original Paper Mario game was released on Nintendo 64 in the year 2000, as a sequel to the Super Nintendo title Super Mario RPG, and this new Super Mario: Star Nova fan hack gives fans of the original Paper Mario game the chance to enjoy it an a whole new way, albeit one not endorsed by Nintendo, of course.
The Paper Mario series went on to receive new titles on subsequent Nintendo consoles, with releases on GameCube, Nintendo Wii, 3DS, Wii U, and Nintendo Switch.
Nintendo 64 titles seem popular with the modding community, as we recently reported on a fan hack for one of Mario’s other Nintendo 64 outings, that allowed you to play Super Mario 64 on the PlayStation Vita.
