Pixel art sim Mudborne out now on Steam

Mudborne is a casual pixel art nature management sim about discovering & breeding frogs. It’s out now on Steam priced at $7.99. The cosy sim has been developed by ellraiser, known for developing the hit indie title Apico, with publishing duties being taken up by Future Friend Games. A new trailer has been launched to celebrate the release. Mudborne features some beautiful 8-bit pixel art and has some lovely serene music to get players in a relaxed mood. A portion of the money made will be donated towards national and international amphibians, wetlands, and environmental charities to help keep our little green friends and their homes happy and healthy.

Players control a frog who has just awoke from its hibernation to find your pond abandoned and empty. Through a combination of crafting minigames, menu management and puzzle solving, players experiment with genetics to breed new frogs and recover what was lost. Using the genetic keys of the new species created, players can unlock the paths between the waking and dreaming worlds, explore the land of those still hibernating, and embark on a journey to help restore the lost populations and find out what happened.
