The Pocket Collection is a new compilation of 10 homebrew Game Boy Color games that have been developed by Rocketship Park and published by Thalamus Digital, all collated into one single self-contained executable file to run the games on PC without the need for emulators.
The 10 homebrew Game Boy Color games included on The Pocket Collection are: Block Droppin’; Cave Dave; Hero GP (which we’ve covered previously); Hoonigans; Nitro; Sequence; Starseed; Starseed 2; Starseed 3; and Word Forward. The original DMG Game Boy versions of Block Droppin’ and Word Forward are also included as bonus extras.
The Pocket Collection also comes with extra bonus materials such as design mockups and early versions of the games, offering an insight into how the games in the collection were developed.
The Pocket Collection was released last Thursday (July 30, 2026), and it is available now via the itch.io page of its publisher, Thalamus Digital. The Pocket Collection’s usual price is $12.99 USD, but for a limited time, it is available for just $9.74 USD, saving 25% on the standard price. Should you prefer to play the games on original Game Boy Color hardware, or in a Game Boy Color emulator, they are all also still available to purchase as individual GBC ROMs via Thalamus Digital.
