The Pokebook: Generation 1 is a brand new book from Ninty Media that the print publisher says is “essential reading for all Pokémon fanatics”. The new 200-page tome is currently going through a crowdfunding phase, with over three-quarters of the target already hit. This new book comes off the back of this week’s news that Ninty Media’s NESBook is now up for general sale.
The book will cover the history of the first generation, chronicling the cycles of the games, intertwined with other aspects of the franchise. This historical dive will also cover the transition to the western launch and the spin-offs onto other Nintendo hardware. There’s a comprehensive, hand-drawn timeline, and there will also be deeper, nostalgic retrospectives that have been written by some outstanding freelance writers.
In a press release from Ninty Media, it was confirmed that this first book will be followed up with further Pokebooks for the subsequent generations of Pokémon. Knowing the quality of Ninty Media’s products, we know that this one will also be a premium publication with great insights and original illustrations throughout. We’re sure this first one will smash its targets and please lots of fans of the series around the world.
