Rayman Legends Retold, a remake of 2013 Ubisoft platform game Rayman Legends, will be coming to modern formats this October, as revealed in yesterday’s State of Play PlayStation presentation, which was held as part of this year’s Summer Games Fest. As we reported earlier today, also announced during the presentation were the forthcoming additions of several PlayStation 2 games to PlayStation Plus Premium’s PlayStation Classics catalog, including the PS Plus debut of cult PlayStation 2 rhythm action game Gitaroo Man.
The PlayStation blog describes Rayman Legends Retold as: “a bold 3D reimagining of the beloved platformer, bringing new content and narrative twists.”
The original Rayman Legends game was released by Ubisoft some 13 years ago, back in 2013, when it was released on PC, Nintendo Wii U, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. But such is the game’s popularity, that it has already seen re-releases on more recent formats prior to this new updated version in the form Rayman Legends Retold.
Although it was announced during a PlayStation presentation, in addition to PlayStation 5, Rayman Legends Retold will also be released by Ubisoft for PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X|S, on October 1, 2026.
The upcoming release of Rayman Legends Retold follows the recent release of the Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition collection, on which we reported previously.
