Retro Games Ltd., who have previously released modern plug and play versions of 8-bit and 16-bit home computers, such as THE64 (Commodore 64), The Spectrum (ZX Spectrum), and The A500 Mini (Amiga 500), have teased that they will teasing their next hardware release this week, at Gamescom 2025.
This exclusive teaser showcase will take place at Retro Games Ltd.’s consumer booth from Wednesday 20th to Sunday 24th August. Alongside this mystery machine, Retro Games Ltd. will also offer visitors tantalizing sneak peeks at the future of their retro lineup, including upcoming software and new peripherals.
The mysterious new system will be displayed alongside an atmospheric teaser trailer designed to spark curiosity and conversation. No technical specifications, price, or release date will be revealed at Gamescom. Instead, the company is inviting attendees to share in the anticipation ahead of the full global reveal in October 2025.
So, what could Retro Games Ltd.’s next release possibly be? Perhaps it could be the long-delayed A1200 Maxi (Amiga 1200), on which we previously reported? That’s our guess based on the teaser image, anyway! Perhaps we’ll have more of an idea once the teaser for the hardware is teased at Gamescom 2025? Or maybe we’ll have to wait until October to be sure? Either way, we’re certainly intrigued…
