Retro-inspired RPG Akatsuki: Lord of the Dawn out this month

Akatsuki: Lord of the Dawn is a new real-time strategy RPG from retro publisher EastAsiaSoft. In the game, players build a party of warriors from a large cast of characters. The gameplay includes using various military techniques to take down all the enemies of each region. The story centres around becoming the new lord of a kingdom in ruin and restoring it to glory. Akatsuki: Lord of the Dawn is presented in beautiful retro pixel art and will be available on PC, PlayStation and Xbox from the 26th of March 2025 priced at $9.99.

Players will be able to construct facilities for agriculture, fishing, forestry and more to rebuild the lands. Gather valuable resources to forge powerful weapons and armour to strengthen the troops. The party the player controls is called a convoy and the convoy characters will fight automatically during battle. By raising their levels and giving them powerful equipment, you can stack the deck in your favour, and by researching high-grade subclasses and performing class-ups you can bolster them even further.
