Retroware Release Two Titles On General Sale Following Succesful Pre-orders

Following their pre-order period at publisher Limited Run Games,  Philly-based indie publisher and developer Retroware is thrilled to announce that physical Switch and PS5 editions of Neon Inferno and The Angry Video Game Nerd 8-Bit are now available to purchase directly from the Retroware shop. Both titles are available for $39.99 and feature reversible covers and manuals.

Developed by Zenovia Interactive and initially released digitally on Steam and all modern platforms on November 20, 2025, Neon Inferno is a hybrid side-scrolling run-’n-gun and gallery-shooter where the action takes place in both the foreground and the background. As warring factions battle for control of a dystopian New York City, you enter the fray as an assassin for the Family, a notorious crime syndicate determined to eliminate its rivals and dominate the metropolitan battlefield. Rendered in beautiful pixel art and backed by an evocative soundtrack that brings the on-screen chaos to life, Neon Inferno delivers a stylish, modern 2D action experience with cyberpunk flair.

The Angry Video Game Nerd 8-Bit allows players to experience the physical embodiment of nerd rage. Developed by Programancer, the developer behind Prison City and The Transylvania Adventure of Simon Quest, it delivers an authentic, side-scrolling action experience inspired by the toughest NES classics. “Playing AVGN 8-Bit feels like you’re entering my subconscious mind as the Nerd, encountering all the enemies and stages that I’ve reviewed on the show,” said The Angry Video Game Nerd, James Rolfe. “It’s an amalgamation of all your NES dreams and nightmares. From Retroware, teaming up with Mega Cat Studios and Programancer, this is sure to bring back all those retro memories of gripping the controller, screaming, and fist pumping.”
