RoadOut is a new pixel art title from developer Rastolabs and publisher Dangen Entertainment. It’s set for release on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S early in 2026. While we wait for a confirmed release date, a new demo and trailer combo has been released, which will “let players try out a sizable chunk of the puzzle-filled dungeon exploration, and rubber-burning gameplay”.
According to the developer, RoadOut is a story-driven post-apocalyptic action RPG that fuses 2.5D rotatable dungeon crawling with retro-style car exploration and vehicular combat. The new trailer highlights RoadOut’s mix of twin stick action, on-wheels exploration, and rock n’ roll style racing. The updated demo of RoadOut on Steam and Xbox is available now.
RoadOut is a post-apocalyptic action-RPG that fuses twin-stick dungeon crawling with fast-paced racing. As mercenary-for-hire Claire, you’ll blast across the open wastes of The Dead Zone in a customizable ride, then step out on foot to battle gangs, solve puzzles, and uncover secrets in fully rotatable 2.5D dungeons.
Inspired by classics like The Legend of Zelda, GTA, and Rock’n Roll Racing, RoadOut lets players thrash rival factions, complete black-market contracts, and race across deadly circuits for street cred that affects the outcome of the game. They can also craft weapons and drugs before battling their way through wasteland locales in both close and long-range combat.
