Earlier today, we reported on the forthcoming Rugrats Retro Rewind Collection, which is set to collect retro Rugrats games that’s set to be published by Limited Run Games for PC and modern consoles, and it transpires that its not just modern formats that will be getting the chance to revisit the Rugrats’ retro gaming escapades!
Limited Run Games will also be releasing the Rugrats Portable Collection for Game Boy Color. This collection will be priced at $49.99 USD, and it will include the Game Boy and Game Boy Color titles from the Rugrats Retro Rewind Collection, which are: Rugrats Movie (Game Boy,1998/Game Boy Color,1999); Rugrats in Paris: The Movie (Game Boy Color,2000); and Rugrats: Time Travelers (Game Boy Color, 1999).
Pre-orders for the Rugrats Portable Collection on Game Boy Color open on the Limited Run website this Friday, May 1, 2026, which is the same day as the digital release and the launch of pre-orders for the physical releases of the Rugrats Retro Rewind Collection. Pre-orders for the Rugrats Portable Collection on Game Boy Color will remain open until May 31, 2026.
So, whether you’d like to join them on a classic handheld machine, or on a modern console or PC, you’ll soon have the chance to revisit the infant adventures of Tommy Pickles, Chucky, Angelica, and chums in their retro game forms!
