Retro Shooter Schildmaid MX Release Date Annoucement

Back in July, we reported on retro shooter Schildmaid MX being ported to consoles by EastAsiaSoft. We didn’t know exactly when the classic shmup would arrive, but the date has now been confirmed as November 26th, 2025. The game supports multiple languages, including English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, and Brazilian Portuguese.

To bolster this good news for retro blaster fans, there was also confirmation that the Switch physical editions will be shipped around the same time, and are still available for pre-order at PlayAsia. Only 1000 physical Limited Editions will be produced for Nintendo Switch and include the game card, soundtrack CD, Joy-Con sticker set, and numbered certificate in a collector’s box. Standard copies are also available for pre-order.

Schildmaid MX will be released digitally on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and the Microsoft Store for Windows, priced at $19.99. The game was originally released on Steam in 2023 and has received positive reviews. The console versions were first shown at Tokyo Game Show in 2024 as part of EastAsiaSoft’s showcase of titles coming in 2025.
