The charming roguelite bullet heaven, Shroomwood from developer Zemore Indie Games, has officially been selected to showcase at Seattle Indies Expo (SIX) 2026, taking place on Sunday, September 6th, at the Motif Hotel in downtown Seattle during PAX West weekend. The free annual event brings together dozens of standout indie games from across the Pacific Northwest and beyond, giving players, content creators, press, and fellow developers a chance to discover exciting upcoming titles in a more relaxed setting. We’ve been following the release of Shroomwood, last reporting on its playtest.
Visitors to SIX can jump into the latest playable build of Shroomwood, battling through enemy hordes, discovering powerful upgrades, and experimenting with different character builds in the game’s colorful, mushroom-filled world. Whether you’re a longtime follower or seeing the game for the first time, the event offers a great opportunity to experience what makes Shroomwood’s blend of cozy visuals and fast-paced gameplay so memorable. The development team will also be available throughout the event to meet attendees, answer questions, and talk about Shroomwood’s development and what’s still to come before launch.
Seattle Indies Expo has become a favorite stop during PAX West weekend, offering a free, community-focused showcase where attendees can play dozens of indie games, meet their creators, and discover hidden gems without needing a PAX badge. In 2025, the event welcomed nearly 5,000 attendees, and this year’s showcase is expected to be another celebration of independent game development. Players attending PAX West, or anyone visiting Seattle that weekend, are encouraged to stop by SIX, play Shroomwood, chat with the developers, and wishlist the game on Steam.
