Tony Hawk-inspired Skatesterre Kickflipping To PC And Consoles Next Month

Skatesterre is a new arcade skateboarding title from developer Goon Squad and publisher Headup. It’s due for release on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 on August 13th. Skatesterre is inspired by classic skateboarding titles from the genre’s golden era, such as Tony Hawk Pro Skater.

Players step into the shoes of Dutch skateboarder Sterre Meijer, better known as Surfsterre, as they carve through sprawling urban playgrounds packed with rails, ramps, gaps, and hidden lines. Harkening back to the golden era of arcade skateboarding, the game invites players to chain together huge combos, land stylish tricks, and chase the perfect high score run.

Additionally, the official Skatesterre soundtrack is now available on Spotify. The playlist, filled to the brim with skate punk goodness, features underground bands and artists that set the perfect backdrop for flipping, grabbing, and grinding. The new release-date announcement trailer offers glimpses of all the songs.

With tons of sick tricks to master, Skatesterre lets players explore diverse levels designed for experimentation and mastery, backed by a high-energy soundtrack featuring underground skate punk and skate rock tracks that channel the attitude of late-90s and early-2000s skate culture.
