Pixel Art Dungeon Crawler Skull Horde Out Now On Steam

We first reported on Skull Horde back in June 2025 with the news that the demo was out and the full game was expected later in the year. Now, developer 8BitSkull has announced that the full game is finally out. Each run drops players into a new dungeon filled with chests, shrines, and increasingly overwhelming threats. Players need to keep moving, keep building, and keep their skull in the game as they assemble a squad capable of surviving the onslaught.

At its core, Skull Horde is all about buildcraft. Recruit a wide range of undead units, each with its own abilities, then merge them into stronger forms to unlock new powers. Stack these with perks, loot, and dungeon boons to create wildly overpowered combinations that can quickly go from scrappy to skull-crushing.

Key Features of Skull Horde:

No Body? No Problem!: Stunt on the haters (your own body) as one of multiple playable characters with unique special abilities, including the option of being a floating skull.

Super Soldier Squad: Turn your army into the finest assortment of expendable minions that money can buy, combining loot found in the dungeons to gain great advantages, and merging multiple units to make them stronger.

Procedurally Generated Dungeons: No two dungeons are alike and each level features a variety of enemy types, ensuring that builds must be tinkered and tweaked to overcome their attacks. Unique challenges that reward new unlocks and content will also keep you on your skele-toes.
