Square Enix has projected a notable loss of 22.1 billion yen for the fiscal year concluding in March 2024, primarily due to content write-offs, as communicated in their recent statement. The company’s Board of Directors has decided to adjust their approach to developing high-definition (HD) games by focusing more selectively on the allocation of development resources. This shift in strategy is attributed to the anticipated financial setbacks.
